any way to tell what year trans i have? its used...

is there any way to tell what year my trans is? im curios to know if my 1st and 2nd gear ratios have changed. 02-04 have different ratios from 05-06 and the add for my trans that i put in just said 02-06 6speed.

and i never remembered to record what 1st and 2nd top out at when i had my old trans in. but this new one feels different. but it could just be me. and being used to driving a high powered sports car for that last month.

so if anyone knows the answer that would be cool, or if you have a 02-04 S and tell me what your 1st and 2nd top out at, same with you 05-06 guys

This wont't help. From your signature you have a 02 S and your build thread.

I might be wrong but from what I can remember there is a manufacturers date on the transmission.

Oh well, thought it might. I was going by this:
the add for my trans that i put in just said 02-06 6speed
and that the identification seen in the pdf would be in the same spot on the older one.

I can tell you I can see about 42-44mph in 1st gear on my 04s. So how is everything else going since your rebuild?

I have an 05 r53. 1st gear gets you to like 60km/h, but you'll be at rev limiter. 2nd gets you to maybe 100km/h if you really rev the hell out of it as well. Hope that helps

Well I really hope for you the bearing is still good. I think that is your issues with the ABS/DSC. I would be surprised if it was anything else. Good luck and I look forward to hearing everything is worked out.
