06 S with 18k miles
Hi all,
I havent purchased it yet, but Im in the process of buying the car in the tag line. Its grey with light silver stripes and a manual trans.
Looking to see if anyone can guide me a little on what to look for with a pre-purchase check. The car has been sitting stored for a few years, driven very infrequently. That has me worried about seals etc, and possibly bad gas. I wasn't planning on owning a mini, but it has grown on me and I can't pass it up. Ive done some research and notice that coolant tanks can fail, seals can dry up on the engine. Also shock tower deformities, but I am less concerned with that on this car.
What is a car like this worth? I will have a PPC done at a local reputable shop, and maybe they can help guide the pricing. Along with that PPC, I know that it has not been in for service in quite awhile. Are there any important recalls, TSB's that it may have missed?
Thanks all for your info. I will post pics once its purchased.

Welcome to NAM! Take a look at the R53 Buyers Guide here. It'll give you a good idea about what to look for and what to ask questions about. Those are some seriously low miles. As for recall and TSB's, you can call the dealership and give them the vin and they can look it up in their system for you pretty quickly. Having a PPI done on it by a MINI specialist will be your best beat as well. Hope you pick it up and if you have any questions feel free to ask!

" PPC done at a local reputable shop, "
Have this done and ask your local MINI dealership , with the VIN in hand, what work has been done in the past. They can look it up on service and such.
