Recently joined the Mini world with my 02 jcw

How's it going everybody? My name is Jeff and I bought my first Mini in November. Car was bone stock when I bought it other than jcw kit. Since then, I have installed coilovers, new wheels, and I also plasti-dipped it flat black. I still have a few things I want to do before show season but its a start. What do you guys think?

Not what I like, but, ultimately its up to you. To me it looks like a primered car that has been in an accident ......... Is it really a JCW when it has just a body kit?

Congrats and do what you like.

I'd be a big fan if you kept the stock wheels always been a fan of matte finishes

Thanks for the response. I wanted to plasti dip because its different and IMHO looks good. The previous owner blew the head gasket and when it was at the dealer he had them purchase and install the jcw kit.

To be honest I didn't think I would get such negative responses. Everywhere I go I have people stopping and complimenting me on it. Maybe I'm in the wrong forum because it seems to me everyone here likes stock cars. Either way no sleep lost, I still appreciate people's opinions either way.

I think the matte color is cool if done right. I thought about a matte white and blackout myself but decided not too. I would definately black out the rest of the car tailights joey mod the headlamps tint the windows ect. The stance is very nice as well i do like the deep lip wheels but i do prefer wheels with more spokes. Sort of bbs style, thats just me tho. A mini is a dope car hard to mess it up with distasteful mods, beacuse well its a mini. Keep it up do what you like.

Oh, we like mods here

It doesn't look bad to me. It at least looks even unlike almost every other DIY matte black paint job. I think different wheels would look better but I'm a fan of only a few, thin spokes - lots of brake showing.

I think it would look pretty good if you put some sort of bright colored accent on it. Whether wheel lips, thin pinstripe somewhere, I don't know. Maybe bright green, orange, or yellow.

The stance does look pretty good tho!
