R50/53 SOOOOO? WHAT DIDYA DO WITH THE OLE MINI THIS WEEKEND???
I did autocross for the second time.
Did runs of 71, 68, 67, 65 seconds with one cone down all day on run 2.
Then did fun runs of 68, 65, 64, and 62 with change.
I think I'm getting the feel of this.
The best MINI time all day was 58 seconds in a stock MCS.
I ran in SM since I have a pulley, plus lots more.

Mine was stuck indoors on display for the entire 3 days at the International Auto Salon IAS SEMA show in the convention ctr in L.A ca. No driving time this weekend but met many mini people and made some good connections for some interesting new products. Randy

How did you get in so many fun runs? The key to getting a good time is to be smooth so you don't upset the handling of the car via weight transfer.
I heard brgpph was there in his newly aero kit outfitted MCS, erik808 got one heck of a run in his MC and MiniAngelD was there.
I also heard about the launch of http://www.mini-pooper.com on mini-t's MCS, or should I say MPS.

The wife and I left Napa Valley on Saturday around noon, headed northeast, took the Feather River Hwy. A CHP officer must have been bored, as he passed us going the other way. A few minutes later he appeared in my mirror, red lights on. Wrote me up for a missing front license plate. Can you believe that?
Continued on to Reno, where we got even, net winnings of $1,200 or so. For some reason, we could not lose no matter where we played.
Then flew downhill over the Sierras on Sunday, with a lot of wanna-be Mini's chasing us down the mountains.
450 mile round trip. Sore butt, worth every minute.

Drove 300 miles on the Pacific Coast Hwy. Beautiful scenery, so many pretty cars in my rear view mirror
Finally finished breaking the car in, and it took the twishies so well! And most cars were even nice enough to pull over and get out of my way

>>Took about a 200 mile trip with the STLMINI Club. 30+ MINIs & 1 classic. Ended up with a dirty, bug encrusted MINI but boy did we have a great time.

I wanted to go to that event, but I had plans that were made way out in advance.
Hopefully I can make the next STL club event.
Did manage to detail the MINI inside and out and gave it a nice coat of wax, so it wasn't a total loss.

Went autocrossing with the Lone Star Chapter of the BMWCCA... got 1st in my class (B) with a 95.013 run (ran a conservative 102, then 100, then 97.3 and 98 in the morning sessions; afternoon sessions started with a 97.5, 95.8, 95.013, and 95.4).

Mmm, installed the Alta Intake, Detailed my interior. Steam-cleaned the undercarriage...
Motored around the Detroit burb's a bit (Errands), my Mini found a companion when
I was at Ballys  Almost an exact copy, minus lapis leather and 3 spoke
steering wheel...

@ 310MI on the clock now... Can't wait for 1,250!
Next weekend, installing upgraded Osram H7 bulbs, XM direct kit...
