Not to steal wmba's thunder, but I also ordered my Mini today.

Reading all the stuff posted here, and finding lots of info from you guys was great. Here's what I got:

'04 MC
Chili Red/Black
Cold Package
Sport Package
MFSW S-Style Steering wheel
Chrome Bumper inserts
Auto Dim mirror/auto wipers
Xenon headlights
Panther Black with Anthracite interior.
Line in Jack

I'm excited, Julie at Classic was fantastic and was able to get me in for late May delivery. I can't wait.

Thanks again for the help.

That is exciting! My MCS is scheduled for late May delivery also, maybe they'll be on the boat together! I also ordered with Julie - I'm very happy! Congradulations on your order.

were these MINI's custom made for you...or is the options you picked regulary delivered from the mini dealer?

The reason i ask Is because i recently ordered my 04'lexus is300. Put i got special combinations like 5spd w/NAV no sunroof and blue. Which is not made from the factory regulary. So they had to custom make it for my ***.

But my point is ive been waiting since dec. 28. My schedule date is late april

Its been a long wait but my baby is coming.
Then after that a lil more saving i will be buying my sweetheart her 05or06 mini.S
depending on any body changes or peroformance upgrades that may or may not come along!

Mines a pretty custom build. Mini actually encourages you to customize. They have packages, but you can put it together how you like.

right i knwo they encourage you to customize but...but they encourage everyone to customize. Im sure they build many different combinations on a regular basis from the factory.

Im talking like MINI callin up everyother dealer in the country and them not having one ...and not getting one in. it would prolly have to be something really weird witht he MINI's since they are so customable from the factory.

or maybe im wrong and every customer that comes in and orders they're car gets custom built from the factory. If thats the answer then why int he hell did lexus take 4 months do to deliver mine? :???:

I'm not sure. When I went to Classic two weeks ago, there were 10-15 cars in there. Today, nothing, except the test drivers, and 1 DS/DS JCW MCS. I was told it was to be shipped to a NAM member in California, but the truck didn't show up today like it was supposed to. They even sold the cars they keep up front on the lawn. I'm not sure what's considered standard, and how many do custom builds. I will say that most of the test drivers have the Premium package. It certainly didn't look like they kept a lot of stock in the showroom. Of the 10-15 that day, most had sold stickers on them. I didn't ask if they attempted to keep stock, I assume they would, though.

Are you guys talking about Classic MINI in Mentor, OH? That's where I ordered from also!

My order date was March 27, I'm week 19 production, still showing as on order, and supposedly arriving in June, although I'm hoping for a little speedier...

But I've been in there twice in the last two weeks. I WANT MY CAR!!!

Yep...Classic Mini. Julie did tell me that if I were to order an MCS the same day my wait would have been into July. Anyone know why they take longer?

I think because they do not produce as many MCS as they do MC. So of course the law of supply and demand comes into play...

But now they are saying July??? WOW...they must be really backed up. Either that, or Classic MINI didn't have too many MCS slots reserved on the line...

Congratulations spav!

You're going to love it. The wait can be maddening, but it's worth it. Just stay on NAM and keep reading/learning until your baby arrives.

What are the average wait times for the various stages. I had my prod. number when I left the dealer. It took about 48 hrs before my options showed up correctly, and I'm now "On Order." Just curious, that and I'm impatient

Read this, dude!

My MCS took about 6 weeks from order to delivery. It was built on 10/13 and at the dealer in Florida a month later.

well, since this seems like the "I just ordered a MINI forum". Mines due any day now, which brings me to a question. How many of you guys actually got the car when the official "order tracking" site said you would? Mine show's "awaiting transport" and is due in 1 week. Is it accurate?????

04 MC
Pepper White
Cordoba Beige Leather
Anthraccite trim
chrome bumper
cold weather
premium
roof and mirrors in black
s style leather steering wheel
sport package
Xenon

I CANT wait!!!!!!!

The Owner's Lounge lagged a little behind my actual order, but the week it was due, the date listed suddenly changed to match.
I kept in contact with my MA through e-mail the whole time so she kept me informed.

2 months and 1 day from order to pickup. Not too bad...

Nice specs p-cooper! Welcome!

Yes, the owner's lounge lags behind. For the longest time, ask mini automated was telling me my car was in transit, when I knew that wasn't right.

Well, just yesterday, I called again, and it said "scheduled for production!!!" So that was a week and a couple days from on order to scheduled for production. Owner's Lounge however, still says on order. So they are not in synch...

I sort of figured it was behind. I'm curious pep (by the way, nice choice. I got the black bonnet stripes, and I'm going to try to con the dealer into the driving lamps after the fact like). Do the lamps have any real impact on "lighting the way"? or are they just for looks. I like them for looks, but if they help in the lighting department too, well that's a plus.

Also, I'm on the east cost, Pittsburgh to be exact, and I was told approx. 2-1/2 months. 4 days will be 2 months exactly, so I'm curious how accurate the ETA was from your dealer. Also, Pep, since your delivery was 2 months 1 day, are you on the east cost?? Thanks.
