R50/53 Sold my Cooper today
Sold it for $600 more than I paid for it, 1.5 years and 25k miles later. Now that's resale value, baby!
My new SW is going onto the truck tomorrow, should be home in a few days.
All is good on the Mini front.

Sorry but I am skeptical of this. Maybe a Montana or Wyoming resident wanted an exotica which is not available there because these states have no MINI dealership.

>>So what did you pay originally? I seriously doubt I could sell my Cooper for more than I paid for it. Impressive in any case....
Bought it for $16,900 used with 6k miles, sold it for $17,500 a year and a half later with 32k miles. True story.

Sorry - missed your question earlier. The buyer and I live in Northern CA, where the market is kind of crazy. There is only 1 dealer in the area that is not marking up cars, and last I heard, the wait there for a Cooper is about 6 months. My car went under msrp, so was a decent deal by local standards. The buyer really should have looked out of state for a new car, but I'm glad they didn't!

These are nifty cars and if BMW plays its cards right with volumes, it should be good for them and possibly for us. It is amazing what you can get out of the market when you have something somebody else wants now.......just look at oil.....
