There should be a snap at the front. Pull it carefully away from the a-pillar, as those pieces break very easily. Once you unfasten the tab, pull the trim piece towards the front of the car and it should easily come out.

Is your trim piece off? Can you snap a pic?

As I recall it just has three white clips running down the center of the panel and it just pulls off...

It's been a while since if seen one removed.

Yes, there are 3 white clips behind it. Mine flew off on the freeway a few months ago lol. What a surprise that was! It's pretty easy to put on too

Does it just pull off? Anything to be aware of?

Everything I find already has the part removed, but seems to she'd some light:

Ah, sorry, I thought you just meant the pieces above the a-pillar. My car was missing them when I bought it and I've since replaced them and secured them with some adhesive. The pic is from when I first got the car. You can see the position of the clip which was left in place when the piece broke off. Once that's free, you can just pull the whole piece forward.

As for the a-pillar itself, I think you have to remove the trim from the interior of the a-pillar to get at the back of the clips to safely remove them. I found a few some detailed instructions about this while I was looking for the top trim pieces; If I find them again, I'll post a link here.

Yeah, you just GENTLY pull it off. Like the user said above, the clips are very fragile. And yeah, I think you do have to peel back some of the weather stripping, if I remember correctly.

Pure87: Where did you acquire that corner trim piece? Mine was missing as well when I bought the car, and I haven't been able to find it anywhere :(

I pulled the weather strip back and saw 5 Philips head screws, I assume those first then the 4 push in clips? If that corner piece just pulls off, that's all I really need to do...

Really I don't even have to do that, I'm wrapping my roof and want to have it tuck under the roof trim. I'm **** like that...

I bought mine from the marketplace here on nam. Luckily, someone was parting their car out and i got both pieces. Hopefully, you can do the same, because outside of going to a junkyard or eBay, your going to have to buy the entire a-pillar just to get that one piece.

Yeah, I've been scouting junkyards here. Most are in pretty good shape, but that piece is always gone first! When I bought my new a-pillar (when the old one flew off), it didn't come with that piece. I'll be on the lookout for it in the marketplace

MCS 5: Yeah! I forgot about those 5 screws. Now that you mention it, those are first. As for the little corner trim piece, it does slide out from the rest of the roof trim (I think). That's why it's so easy for people to steal it lol (and yes, that's usually the story about why it's missing for some people!).

That's the reason why i basically glued mine in place. If only vendors sold the piece, they'd make a killing!
