Broken Strut Mount

Dear All,

Recently discovered my mini have broken strut mount on driver side right after I got forced into a huge pothole, would it be safe to drive 20 odd km to the service centre or shall I just call towing service?

Here is the photo of my strut mount, lucky there were not so much mushroom from my naked eyes occur due to the strut brace.

I would drive it to the service center or wherever you need if it is not really far. That looks like an aftermarket part that broke. You also did not mention any rattles etc. However, there may be a need for an alignment after all this.

If you are that scared to drive it, have it towed.

Another way is to put a washer into the place that is cracked, under the nut. May have to bend it a little. Hope the nut fits.

Or take off the strut bar.

Or just drive it.
