R50/53 error code p0300 and p0032
error code p0300 and p0032
The car is currently in limp mode. This happened all of the sudden with light throttle merging into the highway traffic last Friday.
The compression test result: over 150 on all four cylinders
parts replaced after the code was diagnosed:
oxygen sensor (initially installed at the front of the cat and then swaped it with the one after the cat) no improvement same codes.
coil pack, ignition wires, spark plugs
still the same problem.
The strange problem was that I was driving to the store to buy the coil pack and the car came back to life and was fine on Saturday.
I went on a short bmw drive in the mountains and the problem came up again with the same codes.
The only thing left are the wires connecting from the coil to the DME
Is there anyone experienced this problem with a fried DME causing the misfires codes to come up or corroded terminals from the coil pack to the DME?

My my mechanic unplugged and then plugged the front sensor back and the misfire code went away. He suspects that both oxygen sensors went bad.
He swapped new oxygen sensor from the front to the back last time. The code was still there. This time he unplugged it and the misfire code did not come back but another code regarding low voltage came up so the second oxygen sensor needs to be changed too.
Just my luck after sinking all this money I now need to change a torn strut tower mount.
I went to turned and ordered a k-max adjustable stage one with adjustable camber and caster settings plus they will include a H&R 18mm rear sway which I will sell since I already have a 21 mm swaybar from mini madness.
If after the replacement of the oxygen sensor and codes still comes up then it would be a Computer, injector or injector seal, fuel pump (would cause leaning problem with all cylinders so highly unlikely)
I hope this helps thread helps someone in the same predicament.
I guess I will keep this car for a while more now that it has a new clutch, flywheel, ignition parts, and by next week new strut mounts
