Help Removing ATI Super Damper

I just installed an ATI Super Damper, the problem is now the serpentine doesn't have enough clearance because of the belt tensioned bolt on top. I need to back this damper up so I can slip the belt into the channel and then reinstall damper pulley.

Seems there should be another solution to this. You don't want to have to remove your crank pulley every time you change the belt, do you?

Put the belt in the channel on the ATI first and then slip it around another pulley. If i remember right i slid my belt over the idler pulley last when i ran into a similar issue.

If the ATI is on dont try to remove it to fix the problem that would be a big pain in the "S".

You should not have to, and do not want to remove or pull the damper off once its been seated.

There must be another problem, check your routing and to make sure the belt is properly alligned in all of the other pulleys, remember, belt should be slipped onto all the pulleys except the idler, compress the tensioner, then slip it on the idler.

+1 These folks are giving you straight advice. Compress tensioner, route belt, slip-slide belt on idler pulley last.
