Pulley Modification. Is it harmful?

I'm looking to change my harmonic balance to the super damper 2% overdrive and I want to put the smaller pulley on the supercharger. Are any of these harmful towards the performance of the car? Should I just keep them the stock size?

Unless the stock crank pulley needs to be changed i would not add 2% overdrive to the crank.

As for the supercharger pulley I would recommend the following based on what type of fuel you might have available.

91oct = 15%
93oct = 17%

I would not go above these because the supercharger will just run too hot. Obviously check to make sure the car is healthy in general before increasing boost.

I have run both 17% and 15% pulleys on my two R53's with no issues.

Either should be fine just don't go over a total of 17% reduction, unless you plan on using meth.

Ok my MINI has almost 100k on it now I've been good about changing the supercharger oil and maintenance. The reason I'm asking is im about to take the supercharger off again and I figured I would go ahead change the pulley and the harmonic balancer with the super damper one because I've heard such good things about it. I'll change the pulley but go with the stock size on the super damper.

No the pulley is the old tried and true mod for the supercharged MINI. If your car is going to break it will break with or without the pulley. Do the pulley and enjoy it. The Crank pulleys are very prone to failure as the rubber fails all the time in them, the ATI Damper is the best replacement for it. We normally go with with the standard size then our 16 or 17% pulley.

I have the recharger by imperial MINI but I have had a issue with it so I'm taking it off to send it back and have it checked out.

I've been reading the reviews on your website I'm definitely going with the ATI I just wasn't sure about the 2% overdrive option.

On a side thanks for the advice on the sway bar when I called the H-sport comp is pure love!!!

If you plan on any track duty, stick with the 15%. If just street, then the 17% will be o.k.

for the crank pulley you just want to use a new bolt which will have some Loctite on it already.
