Danp, thank god you only got a warning for that. We were worry and didn't know what happened (we were on a red mini - right front of you). From the real view mirror, that cop looked mighty mad, especially when he yell out.

Thanks all for great outing, my Father in Law had a blast as this was his first of this type.

Last week was spring break for my Fiance (Nicole) so we made the trek down from Vermont to her parents in North Jersey and decided to go to the rally. I had to talk her into it but once she got there she had a blast. We had a birthday party to go to so we couldn't stay for the bar-b-que Lincoln drive was still fun and I kept up with another mini who was right in front of me.

Now after the stop at Main Line MINI I was in unfamiliar territory. Crossing the stream was probably one of the coolest parts of the rally but since it was unfamiliar territory we got lost a few times. Thanks to the MINI's short wheelbase, U-turns were easy but there were a few parts that had heavy traffic and I had to turn around in a parking lot or something.

Overall it was a great day... The sun was out and I even had all the windows and sunroof open at times. The worst part of the whole things was getting stuck behind the numerous minivans. (There seemed to be way too many beige minivans out) I'm not above breaking certain driving laws but I don't want to risk passing on a double yellow line. The absolute best part of the day was my other half liked the sound of the Borla race exhaust that Allen (I think his name was Allen) had, thanks Allen! (First time either of us got to listen to it) Now I just need to finish getting the money together.

I had forgotten my camera so I have no pictures of the event however Nicole and I will definately try and make it again next year. Next time, the snow tires are coming off!

Ha HA! What a great time that was. There is a distinct chance that our car broke nearly every motor vehicle law on the books that day, but hey....who's counting. Would particularily like to thank the gasoline tanker who tried to crush me on I-95 and a big shout out to the Chili Red MINI who did a u-turn in front of us at near highway speeds I'm pretty sure my navigator nearly had an "accident" when that happened.

I am pretty sure we would of won this thing had my navigator not turned greener than a pea and become motion sick. He had us take 3 critical wrong turns that cost us the lead we had. We farted around the airport for nearly an 1/2 hour while his stomach settled enough to read a map again. Oh well, there's always next year.

It was good to see some of you guys again. Also a big thanks to all those that bought raffle tickets for the Mini Cooper Cabrio. I hope one of you guys wins! For those that will be at Deal's Gap I will have tickets with me then also.

Anyhow here are some pictures with short little captions from the event:

Here are some of the Mini's lined up before the event

Here is my navigator B.M.S. (before motion sickness)

Here's Koolmini wishing he had a Scion like Cheese's.

Congratulations to the Boxster that won the cup.

See you all next year!
