2005 Hood and front bumper

I need to replace a hood and front bumper on a 2005 mini base model. What is the difference between the aero package, xenon headlights, etc. Or does it matter which ones i purchase? Does anyone have a good place to buy these parts? I need some help. I've tried salvage yards but there seems to be nothing available.

well a good place to start is what did you have?
halogen or xenon lights
cooper or cooper s
base bumper, cooper s bumper or aero bumper?

since you've already answered some of these questions...
I believe you can use xenon lights (with factory ballasts) interchangeably meaning they are plug and play.

you have a base cooper so you can choose to run either a cooper or a cooper S hood. they are also interchangeable because you don't have a supercharger intercooler to deal with.

you have 4 choices of bumpers
base

convertible/late first gen

cooper S

Aero

the first 3 bumper require their own fender trim as it doesn't seem to be interchangeable, the Aero bumper doesn't have replaceable fender trim

as long as the parts are for a 02-06 (body wise) you shouldn't have any problems (there's also a GP bumper semi available but they've become coveted and expensive when found)

ok the car has halogen lights and it looks like the convertible/late gen (red) model in the pictures you supplied. THANKS. So I can basically find either a base or S hood? and id like to keep the same front bumper so i can reuse all the pieces (grill, trim, lights, etc) can someone point me in the right direction? part numbers etc?

"Any parts you think i may need".
Lol
sorry to laugh...but it depends on the extent of the dammage and how many parts you salvage off the old hood...
Can you reuse yout headlights, is the insulating panel under the hood good, clips ok, etc.
is the latch ok, cable holders, wire clips, etc usable...
A new hood will be bare, and primed...used may or may not have any parts attached....
If you cannot wade through a great rescoutce like realoem to find the compotents you need, i think it may be time for a reality check on this diy....

as for things i may need i mean clips, screws, pins... things that normally break upon removal. thanks for the help. i can easily wade through realoem.com but some have multiple parts and part numbers for this vehicle. the diagram for the bumper reinforcement does not look the same as the one on my vehicle. i am asking for part numbers because i want make 100% sure i have the correct parts.

Bumper removal is pretty easy...there are a few guides....one good one starts with "a girls guide to..."
So just do a quick search or look at the how to section.
as for swapping the hood, headlights, latches, alighnment,etc...don't think so....but with the old one and new one...seems to be a pretty stright swap/adjustment.
