2002 R50. Good deal?

I've been shopping around for a Mini and I've stumbled upon a silver 2002 Cooper. I've already pulled a Carproof report (it's clean) and checked out the car in person. It's super clean. Body looks great and interior is well taken care of. I'd be the third owner.

-175000KM or 108000 Miles
-New clutch and starter put in recently

Vehicle has two sets of tires.
-Performance summers on 16" Alloys
-Winters on 15" steelies (It's Canada, that count's for something)

Owner seemed to love the car. Wouldn't be surprised if he was a member here.

Vehicles is listed at $6500. Too much or is it well priced?

Seems fair to me, too. Check for rust under the door sill weatherstripping...there's a sticky on it in the stock problem section. Shouldn't be a dealbreaker, but you should know about it before you buy. Good luck! By the way, we call 'em Justas down here, as in "It is just a Cooper".

Looks like a good price. Might want to look around at that year/model's common problems on the site to see if there are any other costly repairs that haven't been done yet...

Being a non-S helps as there are no expensive SC parts...

Thanks for the responses. I appreciate it. The car was actually sold to someone who checked it out before me. Alas, I continue my search.

No worries. The right MINI for you is out there somewhere. This is a huge site, and it can be difficult to find stuff, but you may want to explore the Market link at the top left of your screen. The Market has sections for the first and second generation cars. Lots of really nice cars for sale. Good Luck!

So I got another one for you guys. 2002 Justa as you guys say, blue this time and I'm not picky when it comes to colour. I think they are pretty spiffy in all colours. Just looking for a well taken care of vehicle.

New clutch again, new O2 sensor and exhaust. No rust.
Same deal with wheels, a set of Winters and all-seasons.
Panoramic Sunroof on this model
Mileage is 131000KM or 81400 miles.

Asking price is $8000, I stated I'd look at it possibly tomorrow with $7500 in mind. Should I possibly ask for less?
