Paint or vinyl?
The one down fall of my Mc is its interior. I dislike the style on the plastic pieces on the dash/doors (BMW what was you thinking?). has anyone painted or wrapped the bash panels and the ovals in the door panels? if so please show me pics. I would like to color the dash BRG to match the outside. the local custom shop quoted me at 3 bills.

It has been done many times by different owners and the pictures to prove it are here on NAM in various places though I cannot recall seeing any specific threads like "Show me your redesigned interior", etc.
If I were you then I would do it myself. Pick up some spray paint in the factory color, do some quick research on the web or NAM on how to paint the pieces and paint and clear them for a lot less than 3 bills. Probably cut your cost to at least a third.
Or another choice would be to talk to the body shop and ask them how much they would charge to paint the pieces if you took them off yourself and brought the pieces to them. Better to pay yourself the labor then to pay them.

Painted the rings on the inside, and there's a guy that painted the ovals of his car that answered to my thread too. I plan on painting the downtubes soon as well. I just picked up a can of spray paint that I thought would be close in color and some sandpaper, did it all over a weekend. Couldn't have been more than $10 total

It depends on what you want, and how much you can spend.
Was the three bills for the dismantling as well? How much would it be for the vinyl? Do you have the skills to wrap it?
I have a checkmate with the Space Blue dash that needs repainting, as soon as I pay off some bills and have the spare cash I will have it repainted. I don't have the skills or patients for painting or wrapping.

For the record, I bought 6 square feet of the Carbon vinyl for $35, and used a little more than half of it on the interior. Call your local vinyl guys, they'll probably cut you a sheet and sell it fairly cheap. You can try it yourself, like I did. If you screw it up, you're not out that much, and if you're patient and take your time, you can make it look nice for not much.

i went a different route and used a stretchy cotton material...disassembled and used spray adhesive..
ive had mixed results with painting plastic...just like any other paint, prep is key...one "fish eye" ruins the effect ..
heres a couple pictures of mine...dash was easy enough...just the airbag has to come out as an assembly...door panel has some challenges that require grinding and removal of the "melted rivets" ..reinstall using small screws and washers

I did a Carbon Fiber Wrap
Did my dash & door panels in CF vinyl wrap but you can do a color wrap just as easy. I then added matching grill, bonnet & boot stripes. Doing it myself, I have less than $100 into everything.
The other advantage of vinyl over over paint is it doesn't scratch and chip like paint and if you ever do damage it, stripping and replacing the vinyl is easy.
Door panels are the hardest to cover. (Leather wrap on the door handles)

I used a rattle can (spray paint) because I was covering small peices & didn't want to worry about wrinkles. Painting is eaiser (for me) than covering in vinyl.
Which ever you choose I hope it comes out exactly the way you imagine it will.
I painted the hoops, cup rings & shift boot ring. There is a close up in my gallery.
