R50/53 Main Wire Harness Disconnect Procedure
Main Wire Harness Disconnect Procedure
Does anyone have experience disconnecting and reconnecting the main wire harness on a 05 MCS ?
I removed my air filter box to get down and lubricate the shift linkage and part of the removal involved diconnecting the main harness. ( Maybe it was not necessary but it appeared there was no other way to get the box out )
Just as I disconnected the main harness I realised the battery was still connected. So I disconnected the battery. Later I reconnected the harness and as the last step reconncted the battery.
Anyway, now I have a bunch of warning lights showing up and to add insult to injury my shift linkage is no better.
Is there a proper procedure for disconnecting the main wire harness and are their DIY ways to correct the display of warning lights ?
Thanks
Down but not yet out in Oakville.
