R50/53 DVL MINI is totaled ! The gawd awful pictures.

Oh this it too MUCH!
Turns out that the guy who wrecked my MCS and 5 other cars is Matt LeBlanc's father...hope he had a nice time wherever he got snockered!
Still no insurance info on the guy and even though my insurance co is handling the claim...it would be nice to know who to get my rental car re-imbursement from.
What's next? Erik Estrada as the desk sergeant who gives me the police report?

Well it's final. DVL is history at $17K in damages. The shop removed the rear seats and rear cargo panels to reveal a buckled floor.
A heads up to those who get rear ended. Make sure your shop looks here for hiddend damage. Mine was hit hard at over 40 MPH but I don't know what it takes to buckle the floor.
Anyone know who's got the shortest waitlist on ordering an MCS?

Hey DVL, also check out Mini of the hamptons. They are a sponsor on here. No wait as they always have many instock which you can see on thier web site. bought mine at the old MSRP as mine was built in November, so I saved $450. but then paid 500 for shipping. The shipping actually costs more but they are eating it for us on this web site. I dealt with Mike Ditto and he was very responsive. There is no mark ups at all or any dealer add-ons. They may still have some '04's with the old MSRP. Again they will ship anywhere for $500 and have a good selection. I have had my car for one week as of today and lovin it

i'm so sorry DVL, we know your pain all too well......did your MINI appreciate in value too? ours did when it was totalled, i wonder if it was the options we had or the color (SG).. we got another MC to replace our totalled one, not the same but hopefully will fill the gap left in our hearts...if there is anything we can do, please let us know, we live in the LA area too (venice)..... take care!!

Thanks for posting those pics. I was actually expecting much worse. Worse looking that is. I'm sure that the damage is severe.

Looks like every body pannel is f'ed except the drivers side front and passenger side back. Oh, and the roof.
What color dash do (did) you have? My car is silver w/ black interior, w/ silver inserts. I've been keeping an eye peeled for some black ones and you may be a good resourse for them. You may be able to 'part-it-out' on ebay seeing as how there aren't many parts-Mini's available. Just a thought.
