My guess is that Toys R Us stock of 1:6 scale Remote control MINI Coopers was cleaned out completely after Xmas. This giant sized R/C MINI has working lights, flashers, tailights, horn, opening doors, steering, etc. Excellent detail too but due to the weight of the model, pretty much on the slow side (Not really meant to be a race R/C model). I think it did retail for about $80.

I am a die-cast car collector myself and didn't buy it because, seriously, I have no space for it.

Instead I treated myself to a 1/43 Remote Control R/C MINI Cooper S also sold in Toys R Us for $20...absolutely fantastic and FAST, FAST! Much more fun than the pricey 1/6 scale Cooper.

I can post pics of the 1/43 R/C MCS if you wish to see it, that way you know what to look for when you go to the store.

The MINI catalog I just got in the mail from MINI USA has a toddler sized ride on Cooper in it. It's not one of those electric ride ons, like the Jeep Wrangler you mentioned. It's a foot propelled scooter type toy. It's the only ride on MINI I've seen out there.

If you didn't get the catalog (I don't know if they send it to everyone, or just new owners) you could probably get one from your dealer or MINIUSA.com.

The MINI ride on sold by the dealers also has an available trailer as well. However I think the ride on Z-3 looks a whole lot better!

yes i have seen the child mini at my dealership and all the remote minis at toys-r-us. i have a big red remote controlled one myself. i was looking for a ride-on electric one where two children can sit side-by-side similar to the barbie wrangler sold at toys-r-us.

I honestly haven't seen a "Power Wheels" MINI Cooper in any toy store I've been. They do make a VW New Beetle though.....Have you looked in EBay?.

Those electric ride over cars retail for $200-$300 a piece and they are pretty heavy (Between 70 to 100 pounds).

I think one of the most known manufacturers of that type of toy is "Power Wheels" and I think it is owned by Fisher Price. You might wanna check with them to see if they have plans to release a MINI Cooper themed power wheels car.

Here is their website:

Well no luck. I just browsed their product catalog and basically all they have for "Advanced" 6 years+ children is a VW New Beetle Dune "Barbie pink", a couple of Jeeps, some Harleys and a Chevy Silverado pick-up truck.

Call them up and see if they have plans for a MINI Cooper power wheels or at the very least if they can put it down in your wish list.

I was at our dealer yesterday and they wanted $55 for the kids non-motorized mini. Toysrus has a similar generic car for about $20.
