I want to add "code of conduct" for fun-runs, but wanted to keep it fun and upbeat. Here's what I have so far. Please copy the entire text and modify it and post it back in this thread. This will first be used for AMVIV, but will be used on all of my future AZ based fun-runs too.

This is a group scenic drive! Please obey all traffic laws. If someone in the group decides to speed it does not mean you have to speed. The directions are written well enought that if you're paying attention to road signs, you won't get lost. So there's no need to speed to catch up. Please be careful in the twisties. I know with the Mini/MINI it is very tempting to go quickly thru corners, but, you must remember there could be a jogger, biker, or pedestian just around the corner, just out of sight, going much slower than you. Again, I must stress that this is not a race. "Spirited" motoring will be tolerated as long as no traffic laws are being violated. Wreckless driving, road rage, tailgating, and any other form of law breaking will NOT be tolerated. Please do not drink and drive. Thank you for your consideration and thank you for participating with us today! If you have two-way radios, please tune them to channel 7 sub 21. Have a great time motoring!

I think we WANT wreckless events, we don't want reckless drivers.

You might think about sending off the participants in groups, rather than all at once.

First, drop the "t" in enough.

Second, a suggestion to run organizers. If you're planning a run, maps of the route area work much better than just written directions. If someone does get separated, a map will allow them to nagivate back on course.

If someone's not familiar with the area they're in, this will eliminate a lot of guesswork. Written directions don't provide that info if they go off route.

Welcome to our group scenic drive! The goal is for all involved to enjoy the trip, while leaving those we've met with smiles on their faces. We will have a ride leader as well as a rear vanguard to assist stragglers.

You're not required to maintain proximity with our group. The directions are written well enough that you'll be able to navigate the route should you decide to take more time enjoying the scenery.

Our routes often include some excellent cornering sections. Please consider others and drive with consideration through these areas.

This is not a race. Traffic regulations must be obeyed. Dangerous driving will not be tolerated. Please do not drink and drive.

Thank you for participating with us today! If you have two-way radios, please tune them to channel 7 sub 21. Have a great time motoring!

Thank my mom and my Fiance' for what is acceptable within my realm of grammar, without them it would have read like this...

"Dude, hang with the clan. Represent.... chill...don't do anything stupid fron' of J. Law. Save the brew' til after the ride. Keep it on the low down. Punk."

That and my excitement about the fact that my MINI is at the dealership, so (add time for shipping and handling, and pay no mind to the fact that contents may have settled) and in about two weeks, it'll be official. :smile)
