Last friday I went to a dealership to check out some colors and gadgets and I picked up a brochure that I had not seen before. I'm assuming this is a new brochure(there is no mondle year mentioned on it) because instead of the standard 12 body colors, this one lists 14. It includes the new gold, yet it still lists the silk green. I also noticed a Candy Blue is listed. I've read about the gold before but never this blue, so now I'm interested. Has anybody heard about this color addition? If it's true, I think it'd be nice to see it configured up and posted on the site(hint hint. ).

Thanks Dave!
So that new Candy blue mini came from overseas then right?
I'll take it then that it is a new color, which is out over there already.
Still curious about if it's an option on the config. though.

katiedidmini,
I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that is not a US MINI.
The steering wheel apears to be on the Right hand side.
I've yet to hear of the Candy Blue being available in the states but I can assure you MCO will have it's ear to the ground and will let you and others know if any new info turns up.
Happy Motoring,
SW

Yeah, Sfiveten is correct it's not a U.S. MINI.

I believe the pictures were orginally taken at MINI in Oxford. Those wheels have never been offered in the U.S., plus if you look at the second pic you can see the corner of the euro tag.

I know the brochure he is talking about also. I have that one - it's actually a pre-production brochure so a lot of the info is inaccurate.

I have just come back from the factory two weeks ago and I did not see that candy bleu color any where near the factory but I did see some new colors they are doing up for special edditions of which I saw one in a very nice dark metallic red and a very nice light green. But that bleu could very well be one of them too. I like it and it's defenatly hot looking. Saw the gold mini too, looked very good done up right!!
Thanx for the pics Dave, where did you find them?? Is their more to see for us??

Miniac, you have to be more specific here! What's the deal woth these "specials?" When are they coming out and what are their stats? I havent ordered my mini yet, and have to wait awhile for it anyway, maybe I'd like a special edition one!

According to the 'Book Of Motoring''s insert, there is a gold and candy blue available... Of course, how long was the HK audio system 'availaible', and how many indi blue 2002 MCS's are there? So I'd rate it as a call your dealer question..
