R50/53 Waiting to wait...
I'm on the waiting list at Ralph Schomp too. Put my deposit down on the 2nd of January for an MCS. Originally was told 2 month wait to get to the production list but after talking to my MA he said their allocation had dropped greatly and could be as long as a year! (that includes the wait list and build time, original estimate 6 months total time). Hopefully when I call in the morning they will say the time has shortened due to their allocation being increased.

So glad to find this group! Put down a deposit for #1DS in January so he could go off to college with it. He's changed his mind and is keeping his BMW so guess who gets the MINI!!! Will give my truck to #2DS when he gets his license in October - but maybe he can drive it for special occassions!
Am learning a lot here at NAM. It will help when order time finally gets here. So far just know it will be a MCS and it will be a blast! Good friends just got back for the Las Vegas trip - plan to be there with you next year! It's all about getting there.

Yippeee! Waiting to wait time is over for me! I'm taking advantage of Classic MINI's Ultimate Classic MINI Group Buy round 2 and should be taking delivery of my LY/LY MCS in late May or early June.
Good Luck everyone!

I'm actually done waiting to wait too. Placed my order a few weeks ago. Second week of Feb, I think. Probably won't see my Mini until May or so. But at least I'm done waiting. To wait that is. Can't wait.

Finally, a waiting thread I can reply to! I have been waiting to wait since the US launch of the MINI back in 3/02.
We had just purchased a new vehicle for the Mrs. and didn't feel like two large monthly payments. Also wanted to let the bugs get worked out of a brand new production car.
Daily visits to this and every other MINI site have kept the anxious feeling to a minimum. An 8/03 MCS test drive and a 9/03 modded MCS drive at an autocross brought MINI fever back pretty hard.
Finally called the nearest MINI dealer (Baron's in KC) last week. I plan to place an order for a 05 MCS in August. It appears that by then the stumble, yo-yo, windshield, steering and tranny problems will all have been solved.
By September, I should be the proud owner of BRG/B MCS!
Until then, I am continuing to wait to wait!

*sigh* I am SO waiting to wait. I've decided to go back to school to become a CNM, so I've got 4 years of school ahead of me... I inherited a 97 Saturn, and what can I say, it's FREE. But you can be sure when I finish school, I am getting a shiny new "S".
