How do i determine what version software i have?

 

-Right Click on My Computer.
-Choose Properties from the drop down list.
-The version is listed in the upper right hand corner of the dialog box.

no seriously, i hear everyone saying that i may have 36 or something, how do i determine it, and what does it do for the car?

 

I think the only definitive way is to ask the dealer to have a look.

You might be able to guess my correlating the build date with software releases but it might not be accurate.

Just giving you a hard time. There was a post somewhere that indicated how to find it on the digital display on the rev counter, but the information returned was inconsistent. I think you have to talk to your dealer. If the car is very new than it should have v36.
