After seven months of waiting, my baby is going to be handed over to us tomorrow at 1230 Denver time! (I'm not sure if I'm going to sleep....)

No mods yet or really planned at this time, I want the au natural experience before I start pumping it up (that and the warranty!), but time will tell...

We haven't decided on a name or if we are even going to name it. I'll have my boys (8 and 5) figure it out! Any suggestions might help. Here's the pedigree:

MCS DS/B
P Black Leather
HK Sound
Pkg #1 (Let the sun shine in and I'm too lazy change the temp on my own)
Pkg #2 (17" and damn proud of it!)
Pkg #3 (It gets cold in Denver)
Clearbra
Rubber mats
Moss cubby thingie

If you really want pictures of yet another DS/B MCS, I'll be happy to oblige!!!

Lookout Mountain, here I come!!!

FINALLY! The MINI is in the garage! After all the messy finacial stuff, I was able to take it on the road. I started at 1530 and didn't get home until 1930 and around 100 miles later! Found all kinds of trafic to play in, mountain roads to straighten and stop lights to style at. The highight of the day was when my 5 year old puked all over the back seat. Good thing we made the leather investment!

So far, day one, no stumble, no yo-yo, no squeaks rattles or bumps in the night. The harsh ride from the 17" and runflats is probably on someone else's car. Seats are awsome, didn't feel tired at all after running around the Denver Metro area. The clutch is just right, the shifter feels great. I love the 3-spoke wheel, it looks great and feels even better. Even the DSC makes driving really fun! Diving into a tight corner at 40 and to have the car go exactly where I want it to go is incredible. Needless to say, the MINI has exceeded all my expectations thus far. Granted this is just day one, but I have a good feeling about this.

Which leads me to say, thanks to everyone who scared the crap out of me for the past few months about the Yo-Yo, 17" wheels, runflats, cracked windshields, rattling sunroofs, leaking catch cans, sloppy shifters, and all the other horrors that lie in wait among these forum pages! I say thanks because all this forced me to believe in the product and trust myself to make my own decisions. I must say that if I had read all this prior to placing the order, I might have thought twice. Sure glad I didn't!

Motor On On!

Picked up the car yesterday....Kudos to Scott at Mini of Fairfield County for all the help, answers and phone calls. I love the car and with 300 miles already, I should be over the 1200 mile mark by next week. Now that I don't have to track the car on the web, I can now figure out how to download pics from my digital camera to post pics.

It's here! It took me a while to get around to posting a pic, but we picked up the MINI on the 22nd (could have had it on the 16th, but we were going out of town).

Anyway, here it is...
