Disable the Passenger seat notice

I have a 2006 Mini and when I carry something in the passenger seat, the alarm goes off. What is the best way to disable it?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Your best bet is to connect the belt, even though no one is sitting in it.

I have not, nor do I recommend it. I can tell you from experience with my 540i BMW wiring is does not like being tinkered with. Besides there are possible legality issues involved with such modification.

Just buy a buckle from mini and leave it in the glove box for when you need it.

I don't reccomend you modify the wiring, but if you insist upon going the that route here is the thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ing-chime.html

Thanks! I really meant to say the 2010 Mini, my daughter has that car. My wife has the 2006 Mini that I bought her for our 30 anniversary. My son and I were just looking on-line and saw that it is easy to just buy a metal piece to put in the female seat belt. My son, Robbie has a 335i BMW. He sold his EVO to get the BMW.

Again, thanks for your help and until next time - have a happy new year!!

Cravenspeed also has a buckle insert that will fool the system into believing the belt has been put on.
