Last weeek, I received an invitation from my dealer, Prestige Mini in Mahwah, NJ, for a mini party to commermorate all the new arrivals. I figured that it would be a small gathering with some cheese and crackers. However, when I pulled up at the entrance, there was valet parking. The person who took the car indicated that they were taking the car into the back to clean & detail while I was at the party. I was already impressed! When I walked in the door, it was like an opening of a NY night club. They gave out shirts at the door and I was greeted by many people in suits. There was food and drinks along with music. Austin Powers (a good look alike) also walked around and worked his Mojo. There were also some classic minis to look at while you minglerd with staff and other mini guests. Anyway, they really did a great job!! Dis anyone else have the same experience??

That is INCREDIBLY cool! All dealerships should do that! My dealership has not thrown any parties for their buyers....but they SHOULD!

They made you buy a 'free' T-Shirt, don't hold your breath waiting for party invitation, unless it's for a $100.00 a plate shingding.

Daniel1,
I was there!!! I got a free t-shirt and mini (pun intended) CD Rom

By the way. My T-shirt had number 86. What number did yours have???

Did you check out the bouncer and the velvet rope??? It reminded me of when I used to hang out in NYC.

My shirt # was 52. I agree that the set up reminded me of the old days when I used to go clubbing. I was going to try and take an extra shirt when I left, but I was afraid of the large bouncwrs at the door. (Ha Ha)

Just got an invitation from Cincinnati MINI inviting me to a Sunday Safari. It is called an "Observation Rally" where you start at a certain point with directions to where you're going. There will be a quiz when you arrive about all the stuff you've observed. It is clear that it is for both MINI owners and those (like me) that are "in waiting."

Sounds like fun. Just wish I had my MINI for it.

The 2 dealers in the Montreal area organized a big partyduring the festivities around the F1 Grand Prix in Montreal. All new MINI owners received invitation for a "private" dinner and then other people (like me who has not ordered yet) could get in fter for the event at a bar. Too bad I wasn't able to attend.
