I'm vacillating between IB/W and IB/B....I've got the awesome pic from MINIUSA (the IB/W w/ aero kit, rally lights, etc in the late desert sun) as my Windoze desktop background and I have to admit, it looks pretty sharp, especially w/ the rally stripes.

But, for me, white means showing stains easily, a prior white car would show leaf stains pretty easily, for example. So I'm leaning towards a black roof.

I've seen a few pics here and there from other board members, but does anyone know of any real sharp, "professional" ones along the lines of the IB/W mentioned above?

Next step, of course, is the dealership, but having both on the lot isn't guaranteed....

IB/Blk is the way to go.

if you still want a IB/W after buying a IB/Blk, go to toysRus and
buy their 1/8th scale size huge RC car. wow! biiiig.

I've got IB/W and couldn't be happier. But, you know what opinions are like.

MAKE YOU OWN DECISION.

Aqualung,

IB/W is just fine- I have one and the roof is the least of my worries- the rear end tends to be the dirt catcher.
The white roof is cooler and the tone of the MINI is lighter and brighter. The IB/B is more aggressive and in a hot climate would be hotter inside. If you get the sunroof the black roof matches the sunroof better to some people. I think either roof color is fine with the sunroof. I have another black car and it isn't easy to keep it clean including the roof. When it is clean it does look great though. Both are good choices, the IB/B is more rare.

Minihune, many thanks for the pics, they give me a better perspective (and let the kids see too, they're the ones bickering!), and the bonus for me was the black stripe treatment....hadn't thought about those before.

Kenchan, are those radio controlled?

Sweeet! Very nice pics, thanks for sharing...the scales are tilting towards IB/B, but don't worry, no sunroof on mine so you're safe!

Dumb question, did you Zaino _before_ the clear bra install, or after?

(Pay no attention to the balding man in the reflection)
Can we at least pay compliments?

Those are very nice pics sir. If it weren't for your "clues," I would not have been able to tell where the invisible bra was.

you need to wipe off all wax on the panels that you plan to
add clear bra, so do your clearbra first, then polymer wax.

im going to try zaino bro's next spring to see how well it can
cover up the swirls that the dealer put on my car during delivery.
 acceptance..

Glad you liked the pics!

As Ken said, the surface should be free of any treatment before the clear bra is applied. I scheduled the bra installation for the day after I picked up the car, and I specified to the dealer that I wanted NO wax put on the car before delivery.

After the bra was installed, I zaino'd the car, including the bra.

Just to be a pain and add more options to your decision process, one of the new members of the Sin City MINI Club is driving a beautiful IB/IB MCS with the black trim around the wheels also done in IB. A VERY pretty car!

Oh thanks a lot! You're right, it does look pretty sharp, methinks that was done in a local paint shop vs. the dealer?

No, apparently it was done at the dealership prior to delivery. Somewhere in Washington state.
