Being that teh MINI's ground clearance is about 5" how much of a snowfall before driving becomes hazardous? I guess that's not much of a problem where the snowploughs are operating, but for country roads rural areas..?

Cheeeeez. I wait all summer for a chance to ride the snow wave. 9800 miles on the Pirellis. Run with the Dogs at the Reservoir and switch to steelies and Blizzacks for Long Island.

Finally it snows and I'm thinking it's donuts in the snow time. NOT!

Flat tire on driver rear when I go out this AM.

Thanks for your pictures.

Doug,
From picture number 2 it looks like you were stuck on Sunrise Highway too. It took me almost 2 hours to get home last night, a ride that normally takes a half hour. And I don't know what they were talking about when they said the snow plows were ready and waiting to go. NOTHING was plowed!

The wheels are Sport Edition Fox 5's and i got them from Tire Rack. They are 16x7 with Blizzaks. They are strong and worl well in the snow

Yes I was on Sunrise HWY for a while. How did you mini do in the snow Megan? Mine did great with my snow tires. I need to wash it though. It is a mess.

The MINI was ok, but I really didn't drive over 40 mph. From about Broadway in Sayille to North Ocean Ave I didn't go more than 10 mph because there was so much traffic. Needless to say my clutch foot was about to fall off when I finally got home. I thought the MINI handled it pretty well though.

Been driving round the neighborhood..
It's terrific..NO ONE is out......

These snow tires are awesome

BTW...My MCS heats up well...all the windows stay nice and clear...front and rear defrost w/ both the heat and AC buttons on...works like a charm.

Peace,
D

Haven't driven the MINI today but took my grandpa's new Jaguar out. It's the 4WD one, quite fun I must say but I still love the MINI. Now it's time to follow Doug's lead and make some drinks!

Love those heated seats! One of the best features in the car.
