Just picked up a new radio controlled MINI @ Toys-r-Us. They're make by a company called FastLane, part of an entire line of cars called Super Slicks, w/ tracks to go with them, customizing performance kits, the whole 9 yards. They have the MCS in CR/W, EB/W, and DS/B @ $19.99. They seem to be well built, and the exterior detailing is excellent. They're rechargable, the remote is fully functional, and they're pretty darn fast. Didn't wait for Santa to open mine.

 

Amazon's Toys r Us store has them...

BTW, I tucked that unsightly wire-antenna-thing into the car and the reception is fine for where I race 'em. To keep the frequecies straight, I switched bodies around so the 27mhz (blue) controller ran the EBlue/W MCS and the 43mhz (red) controller ran the CRed/W MCS. For the DS/W car I put a colored dot on the bottom. (...actually I put dots on all of them to mark what frequency the chassis runs on.)

I'm such a MINI geek!

Thanks for the pic, d2mini. jds, I'd probably get all 3, but I have 18 MINI different mini-MINI's on the shelf, and there's just no more room. I bought the EB because it's the first small version I've seen, and I don't currently have an EB. With that reasoning, though, I may have to get the DS, since I don't have one of those either!! Toys-r-Us also has the huge (1/8?1/6?) RC CR/W MINI, selling for $79.95. It's beautiful, but I'd need to build another garage to house it!!

 

I just got today my CR/W Super Slick MCS from Toys R Us...its awesome!!!!

Now to complete my MINI RC collection I need "Santa" to bring me over the beautiful 1/6 scale Cooper they are selling there for about $80...its is HUGE!.

I noticed that the remote control on that big Cooper has a LCD readout for the speed and wonder how fast can it go (9 to 10MPH?).

The CR/W with the American roof flag runs at 49Mhz and the one with the Union Jack flag runs at 27Mhz radio frequency.

I got the 1/43 in EB/W originally, then a spare body in DS/B which I painted to match Alice (LY/B). Totally cool!
The 1/6 model seems underpowered for it's weight to me. Never goes real fast. The leds for speed are actually for the 3 gears. It makes higher revving noises and goes faster (everything is relative) in higher gears.

 

my parents got those for me, hehe. they are so much fun. i have them with the rest of my mini toy cars like the johnny lightning ones

 

I'm gonna pick up a set or two of them for christmas...I like how they come with v-spokes. Maybe I'll paint them to match my mini!
