I don't know them personally, however, I have been dealing with car dealers all over the world for over 20 years and I would not be worries about your purchase. Even if you sent them a cashier's check for the full amount everything will be fine.
look at it this way -- would you loose a multi-million dollar business over $30,000.00??

Best of luck! I purchased from Tom Bush Mini in FL for MSRP and would highly recommend them, so I don't have any experience with Brian Harris Mini. The fact that the Mini is a 50 state emission certified car (yes, even CA) is why so many CA customers like me went out of state to buy and avoided the 2-5K dealer mark-up on the MCS model. If it was not, we would be at the mercy of our local gouging MINI delers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought my MCS from MINI of Hawaii. Never seen the car before I picked it up at the port of Oakland. The car arrived in perfect condition, with no problems in the buying process either.
Of course I did have some help in Hawaii from minihune who just happens to live in Hawaii, and hangs out at the dealership from time to time.
The Ca dealers were talking about a 6 to 8 month wait list, and minihune went to work and located the car I wanted on the lot in Hawaii.
About 3 weeks later, I picked up my 03 Chili Red/White MCS in Oakland, and have been motorin ever since. minihune....U Da Man

I ordered my MCS from Brian Harris MINI, no trouble whatsoever. I live in Washington and wanted to avoid the waitlists and markups. Zero hassles with BH.
I dealt with Lance Faucheux.
Shipping is another matter, and I think this is pretty much up to you. http://www.passporttransport.com/ was the shipper I used, wasnt cheap but delievery was fast and secure.

Bought my MSC at Tom Bush in Jacksonville, but it’s too far to drive to service it. I use Brian Harris which is the closest MINI dealer to me for servicing and they are top notch.
With a 650 mile round trip I call the week I plan to go to discuss any problems and parts that may be required to be sure there in stock. I get there at opening and they have me on my return trip in less than two hours. Kind of like a long pit stop. The people are great there.
I look at it this way – A dealer will sell you a car only once, but may service it for the life of the car. To me a good service dept = a good dealer.
