A friend of mine got a free travel mug from Mini USA last week. We both got 04 mcs, I picked up mine a week before he did (I live in PA, he lives in VA) Both our cars came with the free Cup Holder. Wonder if I should expect a travel mug from Mini USA. Did anyone else who took delivery of a 04 Mini get a free mug? (Its the stainless travel mug with orange plastic sipping cover).

 

I got one about one month after I got my Cooper S. Every one eventually gets them. Yours is on the way!

 

MINI USA has been sending them to new owners since the first 02’s were sold. It’s in the mail.

 

However some people to get them faster than others. I think they may send them out in batches and it may be a matter of what batch you end up getting put into.

I have an 03 and have gotten a free mug, a free journal, and a lot of other stuff. The only other people that EVER sent my anything free as when I bought my wife a Lexus LS400 a couple of times we got a box of chocolate from them. Of course the car cost over twice as much as my MCS.

AND, the MINI is a h... of a lot more fun to drive then the LS400 of my T-bird i had or the Volvo S-80 (which had a lot of power).

Agreed! My wife drives a LS400, and I drive my 03'MC. The LS400 is a great car, very cushy, lots of power. But the steering has no feeling! And definitely, I can't drive it like my MC and still have a blast! Of course my dad's LS430 is a different beast. That thing cooks, and the seats are more sporty. But I still prefer my MC.

IMO, the special mug is just MINIUSA's admission that the cupholders are badly designed.

 

We never received one from Mini, we bought an early 02 model.

I'd like to have a pair of these mugs if I could find them, but not turning much up on the web.

Anyone want to sell theirs? What colors did they come in?

 

OutMotoring had them a few weeks cack.
They come in stanless steel cup with and orange lid or orange lid with a stanless steel cup. Choice is yours.

 

And the funny thing about the special mug is that it still doesn't easily fit in the front cupholders!

 

It hardly seems necessary for them to admit that! (don't know how it got out of the brain-storming session)

 

I never got one either. Maybe one day. I can't get the Smiles to work anymore. Is anyone else having the same problem.

 

I received a mug from MINIUSA. It was a nice surprise. I enjoyed the mug each cold day.

I never got one! MiniUSA only sent me a pen and a journal right after I bought my car.
When I had my Lexus IS300, I got a lot of freebies like 2 coffee mugs, hats, lots of keychains. I even got extra spare wheel (full size).

No mug here for my 05 MCS. Almost 1 year old, actually 11 months ago yesterday, took delivery. Must be in the mail.

Never got anything with any of the BMWs either

At least we still have the mug that came with the 03 MCS

 

Apexer, i got it from the same place too as you.
I had to buy my cup that matches my car (orange Mug), i have the cupholder, but they sent me no mug.
My mug keeps popping out of its plastic .
And seperates from the metal, i have returned the other one and 1 day later and the glue seperates.
It says made in china, it should be made in england

That's because they already 'made up' for the small front cupholders by installing the BIG cupholder on the downtubes. No cup for you!
