My JustACooper

Just picked it up today and am already loving it. I wish it had more power but it is plenty and I'll get used to it (I am used to a Subi WRX).

I preferred the "S" but this one came with all the bells and whistles... cold weather (Denver necessity), premium and sport packages, chrome line interior, Harmon-Kardon, cockpit chrono package. I could have gotten a bare stock "S" for the same price but I figured I'd go for the better gas mileage and more enjoyable cockpit experience.

The addition of a Thule roof rack will hopefully happen within a week plus I think some black wheels would make it look more sporty.

Welcome to NAM and the Just-A-Cooper family. I also have an R50 and once you find the sweet spot, 4-6K RPM, you'll never look back.

Welcome aboard! You have made a great choice. I too drive a Cooper 2006 with the sports package with your package you have everything an S has except 48 horsepower and a six speed. Once up to speed there is no problem keeping up with our faster S brothers

A real familiar looking MINI and is that a Ralph Schomp ad I see in your front plate holder? I bought 09 from Luke Jenssen at Schomp and had it shipped to SLC, local dealer didn't have what I wanted.

Again, just-a-Cooper is like saying just-a-Z28 Camaro as opposed to a Camaro. MINI sells 2 base models in the UK below the Cooper, the First and the One. The Cooper is a performance vehicle in its own right. Your Cooper looks really nice, especially in the snow. I'm on my second one and I'm happy not having to deal with the probable long term problems associated with forced induction of the S.

I love my Justa and you will too. Welcome aboard. If you're looking for a little more oomph, you can always upgrade your air filter to a CAI. The black wheels will totally transform the look of your car. Enjoy those heated seats over the winter!

Welcome to the obsession from MAD-Town, WI. It is great to learn that another Just-A-Cooper has found a new home, 2006 was a very good year.

From one 06 owner to another-- welcome to the fold! If you've got the mileage still on the car, get that thing to a dealer and take full advantage of the warranty. I was able to get some ridiculous things replaced just because I asked. Use it or lose it.

How is a car so clean in the snow? My yellow JAC has turned brown from cinders, salt and chemicals and I washed it three days ago.

Let the modding obsession begin! Congrats. You'll love the car, but of course, you already know that.

The saying goes, "all Ferraris are red" so to me, all MINIs are red and white.
