Runnin rough after repair - possible intake issues?

So I just replaced my clutch and happily got everything back together. Unfortunately in the process I mangled a few of the connections on the air intake for the supercharger (the one that the throttle sits on). So even though everything is back together it's running very ragged and sounds like she's burping back into the intake - that's my take on it. The connections are just the two "quick release" hoses in the back of the intake - one goes to a pressure sensor and the other I'm not sure what it's for.
Would anyone know if this is an accurate assessment?
If so do you know of anywhere I can find just the connections without having to buy the entire assembly?
If not please give me some ideas as to what else I may have done wrong.
Thanks!

I believe there are two vacuum lines the have the quick release fitting. It sounds like you have a vacuum leak, perhaps from the mangling that they encountered. Probably looking at the whole tube to repair.

I would check all your other tubing connections. Follow the intake (if stock) from the intake cowl near the raditor, check all pipes and connections. Sounds like you have a bad connection somewhere. Also check yer grounds near the motor mount for good measure.

I know for a fact that the vacuum lines are an issue. What I'm wondering is if that could actually cause the engine to run so rough or if there is some other possibility.
I'm fairly certain that the engine ground in connected - the one on the left side anyway.
On a related note, does anyone know of someplace I can get the quick release couplings without having to but the entire intake set?

The vacuum leaks WILL cause the issue you described.

I think you are looking at replacing the whole part

I installed an M7 DFIC and a plug for hooking up a the hose for a guage on the pre intercooler side was not in....holy crap it made my MCS sound like a Sherman Tank.....sputtered some too...

Just one vac line hose will do that.....

You might also check to see that the vacuum hose to the by-pass valve is in place.

where is that located, desmo?

I'm ordering the intake duct assembly today if I can't find a poor abandoned MCS at any of the local scrap yards. it's those two small connections in the middle of the tube I need. ::sigh:: so much trouble for such little bits.

The vacuum hose to the by-pass valve you can't really see. The by-pass valve is just to the left of the throttle body (as you stand looking at the engine) connected to that short hose on top of the intake manifold. The vacuum hose barb is on the dashpot connected to valve on the left side, so its really difficult to get to. If your car is a JCW this is where the vacuum to the airbox comes from by virtue of installing a "T" in the line. If the hose is off then the by-pass valve is non-functional and doesn't open at all. In general it makes your car run really bad. I pulled it off the valve one time when I replaced my air filter. It took a little while to find the problem and a little longer to get it back in place.

Got the Intake duct back on (which was probably the most pain in the butt piece to work on) but now it's not turning over. I reconnected the battery - which has been dead for a while- and used a jump box to get a good charge. I get lights and electrics but when I turn the key it just chokes. more that just a click, so I don't think it's an electric problem (tho I'm having my battery recharged right now). It ran before I replaced the intake but I didn't really mess with anything else to do that. I'm at a loss...maybe something is shorting. Can someone tell me where the engine grounds are? I know there's one to the left of the block - other than that?

How old is that battery, if it has been dead for a while, it may not be any good anymore, esp. if it has some age on it.

There are grounds on the driver side, near the engine mount and shock tower. They are brown wires.
