When I ordered my SG/B Mini yesterday, my advisor told me that the SG is still available "for the time being". The rumor he heard was that this round will be the last time they will accept SG orders on the 2003.

I wanted to let those of you that are still thinking about the SG know what I heard. There's only about a week left to order to make the December delivery.

 

AHHHHH! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....ohh well, ill just hafta pick a new color scheme...*tear tear*

 

This just wownt do...im so outraged i had to write 2 posts....*sigh* whatever shall i do???!

 

I am glad that already got my SG/MC!!! I got the white roof & white wheels. I think it really makes the color stand out. What color combination are you ordering??

 

Is the SG a high demand color? I've only seen one on a cooper, I know it's not supposed to be available on the MCS. My dealer siad he's only sold one with SG, and he's the only dealer for Americans in Germany.

Whew! I'm safe! Just spoke with my dealer he confirmed the fact that the SG color was being discontinued, He said they didn't really know the exact cut off date but it would be between Dec and March. My apologies to whom ever it was on this list and in what ever post it was for balking at there well informed information.

The Silk Green, as far as I have seen, has received about the same demand as the Velvet Red...both colors are absolutely beautiful, but seen less than, say, the Chili Red or Pure Silver. The Silk Green also like the Velvet Red won't be available in an S version. It is really too bad that the color is being discontinued....I wouldn't think it was for popularity reasons since it is a very well-liked color.....they are discontinuing it to make way for 2 new 2003 colors. (Neither of which I am particularly crazy about.....the Silk Green is MUCH better)......

Had it been available in the MCS, I'd have ordered it. It is a nice color.

But I ain't exactly suffering with the Chili Red.

 

My SG/MC was delivered two weeks ago and I have to say very pretty. All of the people that see my car really say a lot about the color. I love it. Black top and 16inch Rims that are silver with the chrome package is s? What is the word? SMASHING! Glad I chose that color! Good luck to those who choose their colors.

I got my Silk Green/white MC on August 23-I have had sooo many compliments on the color and I absolutely love it! While I was waiting for it to arrive, I was a little apprehensive since I hadn't seen it in person, but now I couldn't imagine having any other color! I have not seen any other ones in my area-Albany, NY.
