Anyone have a LY/B MC(S) with black rims? I got some estimates on powder coating today and they are within my budget. So I'm pretty tempted. But someone told me it would make the MC look less classy. So I'm looking for some pics. What is you guy's general feel toward black rims? I have an all stock MC. I may do a black out in the future so I thought this would be a good start.

I was thinking the same thing about the black wheels. I went into the minis for sale section and checked out a bunch of different color rims on different color cars and, IMHO, unless your car is white or black, the black wheels really take away from the looks of your Mini.

Ya I see your hang up!! Best thing to do would be to go to a tire shop and get them to try wheels on your car. Any good tire place should be happy to help you, Then its just your personal likes and dislikes. Yellow and black is a wicked combo, but if you are toying with chrome accessories then you would be wasting your loot if you are going to black it out....................if you do go black then I think black rims would look killer.(depending on the style)

All the chrome on my MC was on there when I bought it. I'm just thinking of blacking it all out eventually.

Just enter your make/model/color etc...& you can see all the tires on your car before you buy. It's a great place to play around & try out different "shoes"
