sometime between last night at midnight and this morning at 11am some lowlife MF stole my 45 day old car cover right off my mini - IN MY DRIVEWAY. i am pissed. i guess it's my karma for not locking it on while in the driveway. a neighbor a few doors down has had a porsche 356 covered in his driveway for a couple of years - mine lasts 6 weeks. i guess i just figured no one could use a cover this small. what a trusting dummy i have been!

if i ever catch the scum wad!

Sorry this happened, I've been meaning to write my liecense plate number on mine. This will give me the incentive to do so.

Check the local classifieds / recycler for ads on Mini car covers. Most thieves are dumb enough to jack it and list it immediately.......then, you'll have a victim for sweet revenge.

I'm sorry to hear that...but now you get to show off your beautiful gold MINI in your neighborhood! It's a crime to keep it covered if you ask me (Wink).

I use multilayer of Zaino wax and am not worry about the elements oudiside, or bother with car covers.

I sure hate to read about this kinda stuff. Was your MINI damaged in anyway? I have a friend who had a nice Mustang Convertable under a car cover in his yard, and who ever stole his cover, also keyed both sides of the car.

You know if you had locked the cover onto the car the lowlife probably just would have cut it off. I bought a Miata in 1991 when they first came out, had it parked in my apartments security garage and sure enough some jerk came in and slashed the top along it was just three weeks old! I feel your pain but feel lucky the dope didn't do any damage to your car.

The lock would not have prevented it. Hope you catch them.

All they are stealing from me (in my driveway) are the valve cap covers. Since I switched to black plastic, it has slowed down.

Look at the bright side, they did not damage your car. But I know how you feel. It's just the idea that they come on to your property and mess with your stuff.

I am putting better sensor lighting out there hoping that it will help.

Regards,
Red

Bummer. I doubt you will ever see the cover or bad guy again.

The MINI cover is a great size for things other then a MINI. I use mine to cover my 20hp tree chipper/shredder. It fits the whole contraption without having a lot of the cover lying on the ground and a bungee cord through the center “anti-thief” holes keeps it in place when the wind blows.
