So sorry to hear about the damage to your MINI. That sucks, but there's a good side to this. You and everyone with you is OK. A car can be fixed or replaced, and you are still going to be alive to drive and enjoy it.

Be hard on the other guy's insurance, demand that your car be made like it was before the accident, or replaced.

Good luck.

sorry to hear about your mini. but im glad that she gave up to keep you whole. i like the fact that this car seems to take a licken and the occupants keep on ticken. they make more cars and yours will be fixed and if you dont like the vibes sell it and go down now and order another. you should know what you want for a new car. i think they messed up thirty cars in italian job.

Glad your ok man...I am also glad to see how well this car seems to hold up in the unfortunate chance some idiot isn't paying attention. You should perhaps take the time to be thankful for your life...so many people don't realize how quickly it can be snuffed out. You will be a better person living through this and you can get a new Mini and be motoring again soon.

That is so very aggrevating to hear. I've only been in a couple of car accidents (none in the MINI thank God) and I was sitting at a stop light for both of them! I can't understand how there are SO many people out there who can't seem to drive their vehicles properly. Don't forget to post some pictures! It is good to see how well the MINI holds up to assault.

BTW - I hit 1000 miles on my MINI last night! Only 250 more to go before I break 4500 RPM's.

We have USAA and they are awesome! I promise they will take good care of you. Mike was involved in an accident a few years back - his fault sorry to say...but....USAA took care of us and the other person that he hit......so look on the bright side!!  Things will get better.....

Chow!

Glad to see you humans are all safe and sound, that's first priority.

I'll second Donna's comments about USAA. I can't imagine a better insurance company to deal with. No guarantees of course - I'm not an adjuster, just a very satisfied customer - but they've always done the right thing in my experience, so there's a pretty good chance you'll be happily motoring again in no time.

 You've gotta be going kinda fast to do that - and if he didn't hit you stopped at the intersection, he could've T-boned someone going through the intersection from the other direction, that would've been very bad.

Again, best of everything; hope to see you in a "can't wait for" club soon!

I have USAA insurance and they tend to be very good at paying out. As a teenager I caused USAA alot of headaches, but they where allways good to my vicitms

I hope I am an older and "safer" driver now

The gentleman was 49 in teh incident, the line for the light was very long so I can understand how it woudl have snuck up on aperson,.. but still,, he hit me doing about 45-55 mph... I went a tok photo today I'll try to post them tomoorrow.. I have prayed for my life and my fincees life many times since the accident. I'm very Glad she is ok, she is life and she is much more important than the mini, we both had a deffinte attachemtn to the car tho, which is so funny that such a material thing can have a hold on aperson imagination!.. well , I talk to usaa today and I htin everything will be taken car of including the time we miss from worked today and possibily tomorrow. got the rental today, It's ok, a mazda 626, ride well, but it aint no mini.. I'll be giving my mini guy a call and see what we can di, I can't see them being able to fix the car.. I mean another car ran up the side of it and flipped over, pretty wild stuff... Thank you for all the support. I am still amin iowner, and a min lover, if you see a mazda 626 beeping and waving in morning traffic on i66 outside DC, just know its little ole, me in mini spirit!

First and most important is that you are all alive and well! I have seen around three or four stories of MINIs getting smashed and the drivers and passengers are relatively unscathed. I am sorry your MINI was destroyed, but it can be replaced.
I hope you are able to get motoring again soon!

A little help with the pics, I hope (they didn't show up for me). Yikes chollomo, you're really lucky to be OK (and the other driver is even luckier!). I hope for your sake that they do end up totalling the car; I can't see how it could ever be fully restored to the tight little craft that it was.

Hm. Weird. I can see the pics if I right click on them, go to "properties," and paste the address into the browser window, but otherwise they don't seem to show up.
