R50/53 St00pid gurl hit my baby!!!
Awwwww dude... I feel your pain!
But the good news is that is looks purely cosmetic and I think that will be any easy color to match!
She'll be as good as new in no time.
Still sucks though.
PS.. HUGE PHOTOS, take it easy on us dial-up monkeys

Ok I cannot seem to find a bodyshop in Tampa to help me out. Anyone know of anyone. I'd prefer not to drive to Orlando or across the bridges to Pinellas Co.
I feel for you, but Tampa is a large city area, why is it you can’t find anyone to do repairs. When I had my accident a couple weeks back, I just made calls to find who did the exotics in town. Mine being the only MINI in town, this was the first they had ever worked on. I live in a very small town; you must have many body shops to choose from.
Just a little frustrated at the miles between me and the ones Mini reccomends and having the first one I got close to me tell me that they would not even accept a check from my insurance company if I were to use them. Mind you my insurance company will be taking it out of the driver at fault's insurance company.
Sorry Xanthus – I know what you’re going through, I did too. Seems to me you don’t want to deal with a body shop that won’t honor your insurance anyway. I wouldn’t worry who MINI recommends to do the work, but who does the best work in town. When I stopped to get my estimate done the shop had two BMW 5 series and a Viper being worked on. I do believe my MINI will be given the same quality job these autos will get. Call the shops that deal with foreign cars.

>>I have to agree.
Are you guys serious? I don't even own a Mini and I can tell exactly what all 3 pics are.
The first one is looking down at the driver's side front corner of the car, that white thing on the far left-middle of the picture is the turn signal lens and you can see the bottom of the chrome around the headlight at the very top of the picture.
In the 2nd picture, the turn signal is in the bottom left corner and once again the chrome trim around the headlight is at the very top. To the right you can see part of the plastic trim around the driver's side fender and past that is an old Ford F-series truck or Bronco.
The final picture is looking at the car from the driver's side front corner from the side. At the top, center, is a little piece of the chrome trim around the headlight again and that matte black section on the lower right is the plastic trim around the front of the fender / bumper.
I cant even tell what it is you are trying to show in those pics, they are too big and too close up.

So sorry about your Black Beauty - Xanthus. Hope you can find someone to fix it up like new.
On the images, geez guys - he was so excited he got carried away. But maybe you can't "play nice".
Best luck Xanthus.

I'll split the difference and say that while I can tell what the pics are showing, they're too close/tight. Better to backup and take some shots showing the damage and the whole or one-half of the car in the picture.

Xanthus, I really feel for you. You are such an enthusiast... you have helped many of us in our Mini fun on MCO... and this had to happen. Keep your chin up. You still have a beautiful baby!!!
God speed.
God speed.
wow, I have helped people here.
That is news to me.
I have been so helped by many here that I am very happy to know some of you do find me to be of assistance.
But I have great news....
I did NOT save a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geiko!
And let me just say you get what you pay for.
I have to drive my butt somewhere because the girl has Geiko insurance and she hit my car. My insurance people (progressive) came to ME to do my estimate.

Xanthus,
So sorry to hear about your mishap. Backing out is dangerous - trouble is brewing right behind you.
>>wow, I have helped people here.
Yes, You are an active MCO member and you'd be surprised how much we all help one another.
>>That is news to me.
Nope, you really have.

It's a nice two way street.
Anyway, I hope you get this resolved and back on track. I think you can be good as new. A low speed collision fortunately.

I have noticed that the entire bonett is shifted due to the accident. Does anyone have any information about what some typical issues that have occured from low speed impacts like this one?
