NAM Alliance feature

I found out yesterday that the Nam Alliance Magazine is no more. It is too bad because I actually liked it better than the others and my wife's MINI was supposed to be the featured MINI for the next issue. We were approached to do it back in October. You fill out a questionnaire for the text of the article, which means you write it yourself, and then submit photos to be used. My wife worked hard on the text, trying to tell her story of the evolution of her MINI, as well as prepping and detailing her car for the photos. We went to Jonathan Ikemura (EveryTimeIDie027) to take the photos. He is a really great photographer, and although I know he would shoot the car regardless, he was excited to do it because of the fact that his work would be showcased in a national publication. He shot several photos, well over 100, plus he edited a lot of them, and even did some in HDR. I know he put hours in on this project plus driving out 100 miles to the desert for the shoot. When he started sending us his shots, we were blown away and very excited to see them in the magazine. I think he has done some of the best photography of any of the cars featured. We got this all put together in December and have just been sitting on it, waiting for the issue to come out. Well when I found out that it would never see the light of day, I decided to make my own article so that all the hard work wouldn't go to waste. I used MS Publisher to put this together and I am pretty happy with the results especially since it is the first time I have done something like this, but I am glad that Kelli and Jon's work can now be seen. So for what it's worth, here is our faux article and all of Jon's photos can be seen here:

That is one hot MINI. If I had that MINI, I'd run it to the ground, re-build it and do it all over again.

funny thing is you'll probably get more exposure by posting here than if it was in the magazine. Seeing as a lot of people didnt subscribe or even know the mag existed...said it once and ill say it again, one of my favorite MINIs on here..

Thanks for all the great compliments. Although Kelli and her car are the stars, Jon's pictures really made them shine. Kelli doesn't get the computer time like I do, but I know she will love all of your great compliments
