I read the manual which states that if you leave your headlights on, that a bell will ring once the engine is off. But will the lights then go off automatically? I'm pretty absent minded about this. My old car didn't have this feature and I ended up call AAA a lot....does anyone know what's what for the Mini?

i do believe they stay on if you turn the engine off with the lights on and you leave the switch in the "on" position. But if you turn the lights off after you turn off the car, the "follow me home" lights are activated which turn off after 60 secs. Read page 49 of the manual. Good luck. hey, if push comes to shove, just stand and watch to see what happens

FYI The Follow Me Home lights is something that the dealer can or cannot program. Part of the memory system. Some (owners and dealers) may have it, some may not.

With the Xenon headlamps, they will shut off when you turn off the car, leaving only the parking lights on...
