Wonky windscreen squirters.

2006 mcs, still sorting through the things that don't quite work well. My windscreen washers squirt very low and to the sides of the screen, they basically waste about 70-80% of the liquid and put it in the completely wrong place. Anyone else?

Peter

Take a safety pin, use it as a lever. Stick the pointy end into one of your squirters (not too much force) and redirect it to where you want it to squirt.

Aim too high and you give the car behind you a carwash. Aim too low and you don't throw enough fluid onto your windshield to effectively clean. I say, aim the bulk of the fluid to just above the center of each of your wiper's sweep area. There are two nozzles per side.

Haha, when I first got my car, they were aimed way too high and shot completely over the car. It was almost as good as my friend's car where you could turn the jets 180 degrees so they shoot forward.

is there a way to adjust the stream pattern itself? the single jet shot doesnt really seem to reach much glass. a wide squirt pattern seems like it would be more effective since it will cover more of the windshield.... just small annoyance that i never think about until it happens.

I only have one (of the 4 jets) that is way too low. I was thinking of doing the pin thing but was afraid I would break something.

A friend at work is always bragging about his stupid Scion. I'll bet I can use this information in a "helpful" way next time I see his car in the parking deck.

There's really nothing to break. It's incredibly easy to do, it just takes a few tries to get it where you want.

Isn't that why MINI gave us 2 nozzles per side? 1 for washing the window and 1 for fun
