seat swap, 2003 in a 2006

Anybody knows if the 2003 seats will fit in a 2006? I know there might be a problem with the passenger's seat occupancy sensor..is it possible to take this sensor and install it in the 2003 seats? If yes, is it a hard job or an easy one? What does it entale? Thanks

I just talked to a tech and he said Gen I before Late '04 is different than those that came afterwards for the electrical connections to work properly.

LOL, he's already established the fact he will have problems with the connectors! He's asking if he can remedy that somehow.

Why are you laughing? Your lack of help?

The computer and sensors apparently are not compatible. Unless you can show him how to reprogram the computer and change out all the sensors and cabling to make it work---knock yourself out. What are you doing to help him solve the problem? It is NOT an easy task. It is easier to stay with the same generation.

This thread started back in 2008!

The answer to the OP's question is YES.

I put cloth/leather seats from an 04 into my '05 by utilizing the frame, lumbar adjusters, and original covers, and pulled the heating sensors, airbags, and pressure sensor from a donor '06 seats.

In other words, I retrofitted '06 sensors into '04 seats and this was all done by an auto upholstering company.
