What should it sell for?

Leaving the country in a few months, so I'm starting to look at the options for the MCS -- either I keep it here in storage for a few years, or I put it up for sale (highly likely).

That being said, what would my MCS be worth right now? All options are listed in my signature, but basically it has nearly every single factory option except for JCW & leather seats (it has the Panther Leatherette). It does also have a 15% pulley that was dealer installed prior to delivery & covered under warranty.

It's currently @ 37,500 miles and is in nearly perfect shape -- no scratches, dents, or unusual wear anywhere on the car...

I was thinking around $23k -- is this unreasonable?

KBB came up with around $24K. So you are in the ball park for sure.

Thanks for the input, that's what I was thinking -- KBB isn't always very accurate though and wanted to make sure I was along the right lines...

Anyone interested?!

How did you get a 15% pulley not only covered still but they installed it for you???? What dealer do you use???? I use to worry they would spot my pulley and void warranty.

I only deducted for no leather, you can add for the other options.

Value is a tough thing to pin down because many of the companies that assign a price to our cars (NADA, KBB) fail to take all the options into consideration.

For example, I recently purchased a 2006 factory JCW MCS Cabrio with every factory option, including every JCW factory option, with only 3000 miles on it and my bank valued it as nothing more than a standard 2006 MCS Convertible. Many of the options, Convenience, Cold Weather, HK upgrade, JCW Engine, JCW Exhaust, JCW 18" Wheels, JCW Strut, Carbon Fiber package were not given any value as far as determining the wholesale and retail pricing.

Last week I was very close to buying a 2006 GP but I ran into the same situation with the bank. it said that it was basically nothing more than a stock 2006 MCS Coupe and assigned a retail value far far less than the actual retail value. I checked with several other banks and found the same situation.

These days, before you decide what you want for your car you should check with a couple Credit Unions and Banks plus Ebay to see what they say it's worth. Remember, most people finance their car purchases, so they are at the mercy of what these financial institutions will lend on the car. If you're too far apart on what you want for the car and what the bank is willing to lend a buyer for your car you will severely limit your prospective purchasers.
