Search didn't find what I wanted..

Ned to take the rear bumper off to replace the side marker lights with my new clear ones. The front bumper is cake and I have removed it many times.. But the rear is a virgin. How can I get it off?

Can you get at them by taking the inner fender liner out?

I will be doing the same thing shortly but w/smoked side markers instead. Can anyone else shed a little light on this if I am mistaken.

you dont need to remove the bumper. just remove the retaining screws to gain access. removing the wheel is a big help. but if you must remove the bumper, its very simple. i did it without instructions of any kind. just start removing every screw that you seen connected to the bumper.

I replaced mine including new wiring. It was easier to remove the wheels and the wheel wells. If you want to fight it, you can take out a few of the rear-most well plastic screws, pop out the wheel well edge, and work your fingers back in there. It'll take a short screwdriver. The more screws you remove the more you access you can gain.

Lift the boot lid--remove the two screws inside the rubber bumper stops, for the top. Underneath the center backup/fog light, there is a screw that holds onto a little bracket that needs to be removed.

You have to remove the arches--just pull them off--underneath is a screw that holds the bumper cover down--those are the end screws.

The cover should come off.

You might find my DIY helpful..although it shows the Cooper bumper, the attachment points are the same on the Cooper or Cooper S.
