Has anyone gotten a product from Cooper Flags? I am looking for one for my sunroof. Are you satified with the product? How does it hold up? Can you take it off if you dont like it without too much trouble? Anyone do something custom? I am thinking of a Jolly Roger Flag. Any cool ideas?

 

Cooper Flags is EXCELLENT, however you need a really good insatller, as sometimes the badges need to have holes cut in the decals for.

If they send the wrong part, heck they sent me the correct one free, even though my dealer had put on the incorrect one already.

I think they will do you just fine.

 

Even my dealer recommended Cooper Flags, but said they wouldn't install them. Said if I wanted my Union Jack to cover the whole roof I should contact Cooper Flags and have the decal shipped to me directly and then I'd have to find someone to install it. After I assured him that the Union Jack I wanted is the MINI Union Jack and after he assured me they would install the MINI decals... he explained that they'd had some problems installing the Cooper Flags decals. He said they received the wrong checker board roof - got black and white - when the customer ordered black and yellow checks - for her yellow MINI. They first installed what they received only to have the lady flip out and so they had to remove it and install the correct one after it arrived. He said they also had a couple decals tear during installation and they had to buy the replacements from Cooper Flags. He said going forward they will only install MINI accessories because if they tear a decal MINI will replace it.

However, it did make me think that Cooper Flags must make nice decals if the dealer was suggesting that if I didn't want a decal fro MINI, I should get my flag from them.

 

Cooper Flags wasn't in business when I ordered my flag from England. CarVogue did a great job with the custom order I have for my MINI, I know there are a few people on this site that has them as well.
The only thing I wish is that CarVogue took the flag all the way across the roof to the wells. That's where Cooper Flags has an edge over CarVogue plus they are in U.S. ( I think CarVogue has a distributor in the U.S. now, not sure)
I have seen some Cooper Flags on some MINI's. Color was off but they were prototype flags and Cooper Flags has fixed that.

 

MightyMiniz just put a Cooperflags jolly roger on his car. Have a look around in the Interior/Exterior Mods forum. I think it was posted in the last week.

I have much praise for CooperFlags.

If you are thinking of this VERY easy mod it's a great way to ALTER your Mini's Image.

Mine had a white roof, which is now.... Black, arrgh, yee all know the rest!

Matt Jenkins (mailto:matt@cooperflags.com) is a great guy. I can highly recommend him. Look at the MCO Sponsors list. I know he can do custom jobs at a slightly premium price. You can see some samples here.
