new MINI pics

almost done blacking everything out. the handles i didnt feel like taking off tonight. front end has the most crap left to blackout...im working my way there though.

side vents. most likely shaving these when the car gets painted, so i just painted them satin black for now. yes, i painted the little side blinker thing. i dont care, its going soon.

no more chrome gas cap

5 days later, washed once, and so far 4 days parked outside in the sun at work for 8 hours, and still looks just as good as the day i wrapped them

MINI emblem flat black- this is getting shaved too, but for now, might as well black it out.

reverse light and exhaust tips

Not quite, check his other thread. He wrapped them in nylon. Looks cool and I would like to see how long these last.

this is what im trying to get it lookin like in the end...no chrome on the rims..or the car at all..

notice the side vents are shaved (doing that for sure) also i molded that little side panel the side vents were on, with the wiper cowl panel. handles shaved (still thinking...depends how long this is a daily driver) and if i shave the handles, id like to continue the theme and ditch the gas cap, id have to find a place to relocate the filler cap though....dont know yet, but i think all shaved like that looks bad ***...i didnt even lower it yet in this PS..heres the original though-

and the PS

I gotta say, I hate the complete blacked out look. Im not cutting your car down, because if thats your taste, all is well and good. As long as you like it, thats all that matters. To me, it makes the cars look cheap.

I`ll give you this. It definately looks different! Im not big on a lot of chrome myself, but I dont mind the small trim pieces, and I sure wont go out and add any extra.

It's a Steath MINI!

I gotta say, that looks pretty sweet. Black is always more difficult to keep clean and whatnot, but when it is clean the rewards are certainly well worth it.

man your tellin me....... lol

i hate the front end it sticks out so much, all the chrome.

im thinikin about nylon'ing the headlights like i did the tails, and seeing how it holds up front...who knows..i love the flat finish of the fabric though against the gloss paint.

ya bro totally. i just re-painted my headlight rings and my intake scoop today because some guy almost hit me the other day on the back road doing about 90 and lost control around a corner and flew rocks at me and then he rolled about 6 times. i got lucky. but i was pissed when i had to sand down all that stuff... by hand.
how did you nylon wrap those!? never even heard of that. looks savage.
and i think you should take of the extra lights for murdering and either get an aero grill and/or black housing headlights (w/ nylon) looks sick, can't wait to see the finished product man.

what paint did you go with for your headlight rings? i need to redo mine but i didnt have time last night. i was putting them on and i dropped the passenger one so it got a little scraped up. i also didnt let the paint cure as long as i should have becuase i had to reinstall them to be at work the next AM at 7...ill prally redo them today since i dont have to work tomorow, and i can let them cure off the car over night.

Great looking MINI. This is what owning a MINI is all about, personalizing it to your tastes and making it unique!

Your MINI rocks! You need to send some photos to Barry Brazier at MC2 Magazine and also get with the NAM Alliance Magazine so they can run a feature on this MINI.

First rate job.
