Does anybody know where I can get one of the prop gold bars they used in The Italian Job? I thought it would be cool to have one in the car...

-Ed in Seattle

Waiting for the TITUS to dock on 17SEP with my 03 MCS on board...

I've seen them listed on ebay on two separate occasions (both by same seller).

Here's a link to one that sold a couple weeks ago. Good luck!

Why don't you just get a real one? It's much more impressive.

Sign me up. Not for the edible ones.

prop "lifting" is common and easy. It's a no brainer.
I bet he bought it from a "collector" There is a mold somewhere... expect to see more float out as the dvd is released.

If I got a hold of one of them, I would have made a mold and reproduced a few for "collectors" too.

$9 million in gold bars and you think they were real?
That's what props are for- to look real not be real.
But they still could be heavy so it would look like they are not made out of foam or paper mache.
Did you want the fake boulders look?
This is modern hollywood- realism is what we demand.
lets see some real gold!
Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!!

The weight of the prop bar is 1 1/4 lbs. No realism there!

He was joking!

What bothered me was when the MINIs flew out of the subway tunnel, it was obvious there was no weight in the back of the MINI. THe front end took one heck of a nose dive. Had the back end really been loaded (and I think it should have been loaded with something for realism sake), the rear of the MINI should have sunk more coming out of the tube.

I understand that there are literally thousands of them just south-west of Louisville, KY. A little place called Fort Knox. A local pilot, goes by the name of ***** Galore helped a British Agent a few years back when a megalomaniac tried to turn the whole place into a nuclear inferno.

I heard about her stunt show, it was supposed to be pretty good, but she's retired now.

That movie has one of the all time classic Bond lines:

Bond: "Do you expect me to talk?"
Auric Goldfinger: "No Mr. Bond. I expect you to die!"
