Broken plastic...

Damn! I was installing a new armrest last night and had a bit of a mishap while removing the ebrake boot. The boot came unglued from the plastic piece that hold it in. When I tried to remove the plastic piece it snapped in half, making it impossible to put the boot back in.

Anybody know the best place to find a factory part like that?

On the upside, the armrest is great!

Ha! I thought about the superglue, I use it on everything. This isn't the kind of thing that can be fixed that way.

I found my part on the Realoem.com site. Where do I go on ecstuning.com to buy the part? There is no listing for MINI parts that I can see.

Just select any BMW, it doesn't matter. Then enter the part number in the field (Search by partnumber or description).

Wonder what kind of plastic that is.... if polystyrene, model airplane glue... there are other plastic "weld" products also that can melt a plastic joint back together (not just "glue" them together).

That's what I'd try first if mine broke....

Yeah, for $55+shipping I suppose I should attempt some sort of fix before buying a new one.

Yeah, try a few different "melting" type glues on the underside before gluing up the whole thing. If you glue it up with the wrong glue ....
