Ole FF decided to take a ride to Mentor (OH) yesterday to visit our dealer and, of course, take another test ride. (Gotta get our mini fix to keep us going till Oct) So, we jumped on the bike -- well, crawled is more like it-- had all these boxes and stuff to climb over- and took off for home, Only an hour and a half away!!
We had folks passing us on the freeway tooting and laffing their butts off. Then the highway hoopie came up behind us. He rode there for a good fifteen minutes ---with yours truly muttering into my microphone to FF all the painful things I was going to do to him if we got a ticket -- but then he passed us with a big wave and tap on his horn. He musta thought anyone dumb enuff to be ridin in the rain loaded up like we were had to be crazy and he didn't want to bother with the straight jackets. Now, to finaly finally get to the point of this whole thread -- the boot box and rubber mats are fantastic! The way the box is made is ingenious and I luv the nice mini decal on the mat. Now, if we ever get a chance to use em??? October---- get here!!! :???:

glad you got home safe though, and without getting pulled over

I have the rubber boot mat and extension. I love them....except you cant put the seats up with the extension on. But they sure do come in handy...for say....like.....moving to Florida.

Re: goodies- here's a short list of some other popular not-too-expensive things you may already have gotten for your MINI:
-shorty antenna
-map light
-parcel shelf
-storage armrest
-glove box organizer
-"Hot Pocket" or center console organizer
-MINI fini cupholder(s)
It can get pretty spendy when you start w/ the new shift ****, brake handle, leather shift and brake boots, chrome surrounds for guages, tint- ok, that's enough for now. Once you get started, it will be hard to stop, but the well-dressed MINI is a happy MINI. By the way, all of these things can be delivered to your door w/out a motorcycle ride to bring them home

Oh man, talk about a Kodak moment! I wish the Joad Bike had been preserved and documented as yet another example of Mini-itis!

If you guys (ticketgtr and FF) are ever in PHX, we'll have you over for dinner. I think the entertainment value between you two is better than any other kind of entertainment.
