This totally sucks. My Mini is in Orlando, I am in Tampa, and I cannot seem to find a way there. To top that my salesperson may not be able to make it a delivery as he is closing on a home and thus has massive packing to deal with. Anyone in Tampa or Orlando with a free day today willing to unite a Mini and a Miniac?

wow, that is funny...

no...

Tampa is a joke for mass transit, besides I live north of all the buss routes...

Makes me long for being back in London where they have a REAL TRANSIT SYSTEM...

I was visiting there in 2001, what a blast.

Sorry to hear about your MINI.
Here's what I would do. Find a good friend that can keep you company driving to go get your car (once you know that it is ready for sure) and have your friend drive your truck back. You can offer to let your friend drive your MINI a little- watch out it might be habit forming. You'll have to get an agreement form signed ahead of time-just to be sure.

an hour drive sepperates me and my Mini, and unfortunately my truck is not in the greatest shape. It goes in for repairs as soon as I get my Mini, lol.

DOwntown Mini sold me my first one and I had a friend who was unhappy with her Ferman experience (as she was not able to buy one that day they seemed pissy to her) so I went to Mike Preist in Orlando. I also know Ferman puts the plastic coat on everything they have and I did not want that on my Mini.

For the record I do not have a first hand opinion of Ferman, save that when I called about the first Mini, for my wife, they tried to change my mind on color and such when I knew EXACTLY what I wanted, and they had it in Orlando, in stock.

You could always rent a car for about $30

wonder what a one way rental would be?

As I would not have anyone to drive it back...

The rental is fine, the drop fee is extortive.

If I was closer, I'd come give you a ride.. Just another excuse to motor!
How about a taxi? Or maybe get out on I-4 with your thumb out.. better still, a sign that says "Take me to my MINI!"

From Tampa to Downtown orlando is 72 miles. This is a 144 mile roundtrip, so if anyone offers you to give you a ride to Orlando, at least make sure to pay for their gas and perhaps one meal. I-4 has no tolls, so at least you are saving $20 roundtrip.

Good luck and congrats!

Anybody got sick leave? Have your helper call in sick.
Besides, aren't you getting sick over not being able to pick up your MINI?
