Say goodbye to Zeek, my 2002 Cooper S with WAY too many mods.

But no fear, Zeke will find a good home with an owner that understands the love and attention I've given him and what a find he is. I have no doubt of that, especially considering there's only a couple for sale within 300 miles and my price is under stock other's stock Cooper S's with higher mileage. Go figure.

And yes, I got a 1999 M Roadster this evening. It's long been my dream car and managed to get a mint Dakar Yellow off ebay for a hair over $22k. That's right, $22k!!!!

So join me in my celebration of the car I thought I'd never be able to afford. The car I spent years drooling over. Join me in a moment of silence for Zeke's sake, too. He's a bit scared but knows I'll find him the best possible home.

Thanks Ryan, I knew you'd enjoy the M aspect.

Got it off Ebay auction, paid $22,225. It's on a wholesale lot in CT, but will shipped to me next week. Still can't believe the price. Had the dealer send me mucho more photos and the car is absolutely perfect inside and out. The rear window is brand new looking even. Woah! Has 51k on the clock.

I'm sad to see your Zeke go; but glad you found another car you love. Great price, I suppose for that price I'd settle for the S52 engine versus the S54 engine too! Besides, your S52 is more reliable

anyway, congrats man, I'll miss your pissy, witty posts all the time
Cheers,
Ryan

Congratulations on the roadster! They truly are amazing machines. May I suggest that you check out Bimmerforums.com for all of the needs of your new BMW. Good luck with the car, I can only think of the mods that will be placed on that beautiful example of a machine.

Nice car! I was tempted by one in AutoTrader myself - a 1999 black and nicely modded for the same price and only 20k miles because it was his third car. But I need 4 seats, sigh, and I'm not really into convertibles. I prefer sunroofs. Keeps my two foot long hair from blowing in my face.

Very Very nice ride. I had a 2000 M Roadster that was painted speeding ticket red. I was at the BMW dealership having the wifes 528I oil changed and seen the car come in on a transport.

I drove it home, left the wifes car at the dealership, and told her I traded her car for the Roadster. She said YOU DID WHAT?

Yum, Imola red, if I had to pick, I'd say estoril blue is the best color for the M roadster and or coupe (happen to be a M coupe fan myself)

Who could say no to estoril?

Davebret,

It is a little too late this year, but you'll have to show up for the Roadster Homecoming next year here in sunny SC where your Roadster was made. Make sure and keep up on the BMW forums out there, and don't miss the chance. We have clinics, paintless ding repair, driving courses, etc. Over 500 roadsters gather here in a 3 day fest of BMW love. Glad you stuck with the BMW brand!!

Sweet ride, Ryan.

Best of miles and I got my fingers crossed that the MCS will sell quickly. Once it sells, does this mean you will be a stranger round these parts? I will miss you.

Cheers,
Kim

Very, very nice!!!! I love these cars, too, but I still need the back seat/cargo thing. That's why a MINI is the perfect blend of fun and practicality for me. But if it weren't for that............ ! Enjoy your new baby!!!

Ryan,

Great lookin' roadster. Be sure to take along your toothbrush when you drive it this summer, as you won't be able to stop smiling, at least you'll be able to remove the bugs from your teeth.

Happy Motoring

Davbret,
Thanks for all your help on MCO and for posting pictures of your new ride- great car but a bit small for me.
Farewell to Zeke and hope we see him again on MCO in the future- maybe there will be an ECU chip upgrade that will
once and for all fix the stumble and Zeke will be happy in all gears.

Please do check in on us from time to time and let us know how your are and what you're up to- would be our
pleasure. Down the road maybe you will be the first owner of a 2005 Dinan S MCS convertible- you can get back the rear seat and still have a ragtop that flys.

Great looking ride, Ryan! ... should be lots of fun!
... and if you haven't arranged shipping yet, I'd be glad to go get it for you - and I have Verry resonable rates ...

... and if I Were in the market for an 'S', i'd jump at this chance - HEAR THAT, Everybody?! If you're waiting for you ship to come in, go look at Zeke! ... can't be beat ...

See ya around the twisties when i make it down to PDX, Ryan, and look out for the bugs in the teeth!
